Meet The Team

Lul Kidane

    Second year Civil Engineering Major, Lul Kidane is the creator and co-chair of the Conference. She was born in Ethiopia but has lived in five different countries and is currently studying at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in California. Lul enjoys participating in clubs focused on education, social activism, and dance. After her studies, she plans to work as a water resource engineer in Africa. 

    Erika Wilson

    Currently a first year Environmental Engineering student at Cal Poly, Erika is originally from Central Massachusetts. She is co-chair of the conference, responsible for organizing events, meetings, and coordinating amongst the team and participants. Erika is passionate about the environment and connecting with people from different backgrounds.

      Yokab Alem

        Yokab Alem is currently studying Business Management and International Affairs in Malaysia. She spent her childhood growing up between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia. She is passionate about helping children and has worked for the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

        Casey Adeyemi

        Approaching his final year as an International Trade major at the University at Buffalo, Casey doubles as the editor-in-chief, using his additional experience in english literature and performing arts, to make the event fluid and attractive. He aspires to become a part time actor along with achieving his career goals in International Trade.

        Naod  Solomon

        First year sociology major at Unity University, Naod Solomon is from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He is the social media manager and is responsible for creating awareness and stimulating interest in the conference.  He enjoys the challenge of exploring new places and traditions and he also dedicates a lot of time to sports, particularly basketball.
